
Alex Little, a native of Seattle, Washington, is now based in Los Angeles, where she teaches at the Young Americans College of Performing Arts and Edge Performing Arts Center. Alex performed and taught on three international tours with the Young Americans; two of which she directed. She has worked with renowned artists like Mandy Moore, Terry Beeman, Doug Caldwell, Mark Meismer, Adam Parson, Rhonda Miller, Jessica Hendricks, Nicole Harlan and Cody Green; as well as multi- Emmy award winning director/composer Mark Watters, Drama Desk & Emmy Award Winner Michael Curry & Design, figure skaters Amber Corwin & Matt Evers, and more. Alex was the subject of a feature article published in August 2005’s Dance Spirit Magazine “Alexandra the Great”. She has been hired as the choreographer on projects that have ranged from the Tarbell Reality Awards Industrials to Knotts Berry Farm ice shows to the Christmas tree lighting spectacular at the new Santa Monica Place Mall: Santa Monica Shines, and even the GiGi Girls burlesque show on the Las Vegas strip. In 2008 Cornish College of the Arts commissioned Alex to set an extended version of her repertoire piece “Close But No Cigar” on their students, a three-month process that began her ventures into the college scene. For several years she has been a part of the Master faculty of the International dance festival DANCE EXCELLENCE!, the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop, and she is on the web faculty at Danceplug.com where her class choreography can be downloaded! For a decade, Alex has traveled this continent and abroad as a master class instructor, choreographer and mentor for private engagements.
In addition, she continues to perform on stages worldwide, and she is going on her seventh year with Interweave Dance Theater dance company. Just last year Alex guested as an aerialist with Revelations Co, and in the fall of 2010 she became a company member of Terry Beeman’s Mental Head Circus, a prestigious aerial contemporary & burlesque dance company.
